There’s no single “right” way to route your OnlyCat power cable—just the way that works best for you.
Keeping the cable neat and out of the way is important for both safety and appearance, especially with pets at home. Depending on your time, budget, and style, you can choose an approach that’s simple, subtle, or seamless.

OnlyCat is designed to be a mains-powered device for reliable, continuous operation.
It can run from a large battery pack, but keep in mind:
A ~20,000 mAh battery typically lasts 24-36 hours.
Batteries would likely need replacing or recharging every couple of days.
Most of our customers find that, after the one-off effort of running a power cable, it’s easier and more convenient than constantly swapping batteries.

You likely don't require any mounting accessories:
If you don't currently have a cat flap; or, if you're upgrading from another device with cutouts less than 200 mm width and 200 mm height;
and your door is less than 55 mm thick (typically the case in the UK and most of Europe).

OnlyCat is designed to be a drop-in upgrade for most existing cat flaps (including the SureFlap Cat Flap). It requires a minimum opening size of 165 mm x 172 mm, or a 212mm (or larger) round hole.
For larger existing cutouts, such as those with a SureFlap Pet Door, we offer three large mounting accessories (Large Round, Large Square, and Large Squircle) to convert to OnlyCat.

Yes! OnlyCat comes with a white 3 m power cable (right-angle USB-C to straight USB-C).
If you need a longer cable, here are the options:

Yes! You can easily share access to your OnlyCat device with others, so friends or family members can also use the app.
Here’s how:
Open the OnlyCat app.
Go to the Devices tab.
Select your device.
Tap the person icon in the top-right corner.
Follow the prompts to share access.
That’s it! The invited person will then be able to access and manage the device from their own app.
