# An event was flagged as having prey but there wasn't any.

Sometimes the system may mistakenly flag an event as prey detection, even if nothing was brought in.

**How reports help improve detection:**
Flag misdiagnoses in the app using **event → Detection Status**. Our team reviews reports for addition to our training data to help improve detection. This does not promise that every unreported event is manually reviewed, that your device automatically learns an individual cat’s markings, or that a report produces an immediate fix.

## How to flag a misdiagnosis
In the app, open the relevant **event → Detection Status** and flag the misdiagnosis. We will review it and add it to our training data.
If the issue also involves unexpected entry, exit or locking, send Support the events that demonstrate the behaviour and your device ID so an operator can investigate.

## Reporting versus investigating an access fault

For an event wrongly flagged as prey, open **event → Detection Status** and flag the misdiagnosis. This routine reporting path does not require a device ID or an operator handover.

If prey was missed or the cat entered, exited or encountered locking unexpectedly, contact Support with your **device ID**, relevant **event links**, the expected versus actual behaviour and whether the cat was entering or leaving. An operator will review the evidence. You do not need another generic reset sequence before that review.

Open the event in the app → **Share Event Link** → paste the link(s) here in your existing support conversation so all correspondence stays together. Event screenshots do not replace event links. If events are inaccessible, tell Support; do not recreate the behaviour just to capture evidence.
